Here he is!

At 7:30am, August 5th, 2010, Kelvin Tobias Fuller started his first trip around the sun.

Whew, that was a lot of work.

What? I don't get to drive?

Proud mama.

LOTS of pics

Well, a lot's been happening around here.

In mid June, Sharon and Paula threw a very beautiful shower for us at the churc. :-)  There are TONS of pics, but here are a few:

 Yay!

Went down to Yelm for Michelle's birthday... I think those pics are all video?  Picked up "Licorice", my panda, at mom & dad's:

I think he was a little nervous about the ride. ;-)

Meanwhile, Kel's sure getting big!

The nursery is technically "finished" as of last night. :-)  We got the last few decorative touches done, and cleared out all the tools, etc.  Here's a tour!

There's a cute little monkey on the door to greet him!
Baby Kel's beautiful crib.
To the right of the crib is the palm tree Heidi painted for Kel.  The trees, and the entire room have velcro spots that we can hang stuffed monkeys from!
To the left of the crib is his desk with the changing table topper that Mark made for him!  Above it hangs the sailboat kite that Mark bought on our honeymoon in the Bahamas. :-)  To the left is his little dresser.
Here's a closer look at the changing table.... it still needs a changing pad, of course.
Next is our little nursing corner. :-)  The balloon monkey from the shower is still floating!
Another shot of our nursing spot, with the trees that Mark painted!  Couldn't quite get them in the shot... it's a 10 foot ceiling on that end of the room.  The little lamp is the one that was in Heidi's room when she was a baby!
As you turn left again to head out, look up!  Licorice, the panda, has his own cave, and a canopy full of his little stuffed friends.  :-)

Well, that's about it for the nursery!  We love it, and hope Kelvin will too. :-)

We've got a little less than 5 weeks left til Kel's due date.  Saw the doc today, and he oh so helpfully pointed out that as long as Kel waits one more week, when Kel's ready, the doc won't stop him... ok, that's a little intimidating. ;-)  But Kel looks good.  He's estimated to be about 6lb, 6oz today with an anticipated birth weight in the upper 7 to lower 8 pounds range.  :-)  Meanwhile, Kel's a very busy boy.  Sleeping is getting tougher, of course, but we're just about in the home stretch!  My energy level is maintaining a generally doable level punctuated by bursts of fatigue. :-P  Not bad. :-)

And, that's all our news!  A healthy little boy on his way, with lots of people who love him and a beautiful room waiting just for him!

1 Shower Down & A *Little* More Nursery Progress

The family shower for baby Kelvin was down in Auburn a few weekends ago.  Mom did a great job of creating a beautiful event!

One of Mom's friends from the yacht club made these great giant balloon palm trees!

The lunch was beautiful!

Like my floppy hat?

It was a gorgeous day to eat out on the patio!

A couple of Kel's cousins were there!
Lacey (left) and Autumn (right)... we don't seem to have captured a pic of Lacey's big bro Preston.

Check out our multi-tasking Gampa/paparazi!

Kel got *tons* of adorable monkey outfits, money toys, monkey decor, monkey bedding.... even monkey washclothes!  wow!  Almost toooo many pics to post here.  Gigi H even wrote him a poem!  What a lucky boy!

Thanks for all the fun ladies!

After the party, we went home and finished up the palm trees

Yay palm trees all done!  (should be able to get better pics once we get that light fixture put back together)

Mark's been working on installing the blinds... which is time consuming to shorten them to fit the window... lots of knot-tying.  He's also making a hutch to go on that desk to make it into a changing table!  Yay!

Well, that's all we've got for now.  Spending the Memorial Day weekend w/Mom & Dad on the boat.  Sooo much left to do and time seems to be getting short. :-P

Love you all!

Nursery in progress!

We're sneaking up on the third trimester and definitely showing now!

 There's a baby in there!
He's an active little guy, too!

Mom came up a few weeks ago while Mark was in Japan and we got the base coat of green paint on the nursery walls. :-)

Yup, that's green!  You should see it in sunshine!

When Mark got home, we put up the first monkey!

Cutest. Light switch. Ever.

Heidi used a projector to trace palm trees onto two of the walls...

And the painting of the palm trees began this week!

Heidi started on the "short" tree...

And Mark tackled the TAALLL ones.

There's still some work to be done on them, but they're coming along beautifully. :-)  Next on the agenda is the changing table construction.  Yay!!!

Very Belated Posting.... But Big News!

Hiya!
All is still going well.  Aside from a 3 week head cold, I've been feeling good. :-)  We've oh soooo nearly got the nursery cleared out... a few blankets to wash, and pack away, then we're ready to clean!  Picked up a glider chair the other day off of Craig's List, so the nursery has its first piece of furniture!

We had our anatomical ultrasound today.  The kid looks healthy!  Lots of movement, though I haven't been able to feel any movement yet.  It's still a little early though.  There are pics below, though the first one is from a previous ultrasound. :-)

 And finally.......

It's a boy!

Belated Posting...

Hiya!

We had our second appointment on Tuesday the 12th of January.  The bloodwork from the first appointment all came back fine.  Yay!  We also had our first ultrasound!

What a cute kid, huh?  I like to think that I understand this whole process (more or less) and that it's sinking in.... but I really have been feeling pretty good, so actually seeing that cute little "dancing peanut" still took my by surprise. :-)  Mark's convinced that babies can sense the ultrasound, and our little peanut sure was active, so who knows?  We'll get another ultrasound in about 3 weeks as part of a screening. Yay!

Still feeling good.  This upcoming Thursday we're going to let folks at work know that I'll be needing to take leave in August.  We're starting to feel like we have an inkling of a clue when it comes to all the company policies and leave paperwork, etc, though we haven't actually *started* any of it.  It thought it might be a little awkward if my leave paperwork went to my manager for approval before I'd talked with him. ;-)

Well, I need to wrap up my Kerygma homework so we can go have dinner with friends tonight.  Take care everyone!
